FRS

An Executive Summary

 

FRS is a financial and administrative system, developed in Canada and New Zealand, by Corsys Inc., designed to address the needs of charities, non-profit organizations and associations.

 

FRS has been designed to allow the co-ordination of all accounting, financial reporting, donor, campaign/program management and fundraising activities with one comprehensive, multi-entity system.

 

FRS has, as it’s foundation, a multi-entity, chapter and divisional ‘Fund’ accounting system.

 

FRS was designed to meet the needs of organizations who, in developing their ‘information’ infrastructure, seek to harmonize and rationalize their application, support requirements and costs in the areas of finance, donor and campaign management with one ‘open’ system. FRS also addresses the needs of those organizations who are currently utilizing a number of different applications and vendor support regimens to address accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, campaign/program and donor management.

 

FRS:

 

Ø       Offered as complete package. Not licensed as a series of modules or ‘add-ons’

 

Ø       One consistent platform for accounting/finance, merchandising, donor management, campaign/program and event tracking.

 

Ø       Comprehensive contact/relationship management system at the core of the system.

 

Ø       International in design. Developed for operations  worldwide; Canada, US,  Australasia.

 

Ø       One ‘enterprise’ level, multi-user, fully featured system, for as little as 5 users to more than 50+

 

Ø       May be deployed within the organization’s existing computing environment or as a fully outsourced ‘ASP’ service. Pricing and maintenance plans tailored to the individual organization.

 

Ø       FRS is an ‘Open’ system. FRS runs on Microsoft Windows Server 2000 and uses the  Microsoft SQL Server 2000

data repository. FRS has been developed using 100% Microsoft tools, and closely integrates with the

Microsoft Office 2000 Suite.

 

Ø       Does not require the upgrade of user workstation computers, as the FRS system runs at the server. User workstations

      may be 486’s or better and be running any Microsoft Windows 9.X operating system or higher.

 

Ø       May be accessed and run remotely and securely from the office or home, as ‘Thin Clients’, via either

      Windows Terminal   Services or a VPN (Virtual Private Network).

 

Ø       Completely, rapidly and economically customizable.  May be readily integrated with other ‘open’ applications, if necessary.

 

Ø       Integrated with 3rd party commercial applications; FRx™ Financial Reporter, Paymate™ (Canadian Payroll) &

      E-RegisterNow™ (On-line event registration and credit  card settlement).

 

Ø        Consultative, professional services and 24/7 help-desk and  support services.

Corsys Inc. is a Toronto based company with 30+ years of experience in the design, implementation and support of financial, administrative and database systems on a wide variety of computing platforms. FRS was originally designed and developed during the period 1999-2001 by Corsys and it’s development partner, Hays Computer Systems (International) Ltd, New Zealand, using the ‘UA Business Software Suite’, an existing, widely used, ‘SQL based’ accounting system, developed by ASD – Advanced Software Developments Corp, of Louisiana.
