In the fall of 2001, 101 students participating in a pilot of Accelerated Writer took the Stanford 9 Descriptive Writing Assessment as a pretest. Two-and-a-half months later after using Accelerated Writer to study 3 Writing Qualities, students took a Stanford 9 post-assessment. Key results included a 12-percentile gain―and a grade-equivalent growth of 1.1!
