The 2007 MTV Movie Awards Sweepstakes
It takes more than just a URL to lure online readers to a website, and even more to get them to register their information. It takes creativity, skill, and, in this case, Dotfusion.
When Message Advertising wanted a sweepstakes component as part of a multi-pronged marketing effort for its upcoming 2007 MTV Movie Awards Campaign, the call went out to Dotfusion.

The Approach
MTV needed flash, splash and data collection, which is exactly what Dotfusion delivered. Partnering with Message, MTV’s advertising agency, to ensure that this “brand extension” supported the other advertising elements that were in place, we created a synergistic website complete with elegant flash introduction, awards program details and an easy-to-use registration form.
We also developed all of the supporting information architecture and hosted the backend database. Finally, utilizing best practices, we ensured that the site would both enhance visibility about the program, but also drive traffic to the site itself.
The Applause
Live for less than 21 days, this highly successful sweepstakes exceeded expectations and produced 3,000 unique entries for MTV.
And that, as they say in the industry, is a wrap.
